NDSU Women’s Golf Maintains Position at SoCal Spring Invitational

CAMARILLO, Calif. – The North Dakota State women’s golf team remains in sixth place following the middle round of the SoCal Spring Invitational on Monday at Sterling Hills Golf Club.

Norah Roberts (76-72—148) led the Bison on day two. Roberts fired two birdies and 13 holes at par to finish +1 on the day. The junior climbed nine spots up the leaderboard and is positioned in a tie for 13th at +6 overall heading into the final round.

Jeri Lafleche (82-74—156) rose 11 places on the leaderboard after the second round of play. Lafleche finished -1 in the back nine after carding two birdies to log a round of +3. The freshman is tied for 56th at +14 overall.

Avery Bartels (72-75—147) and Madi Hicks (77-77—154) wrap up the scoring Bison for the round. Bartels added another three birdies to finish +4 on the day, landing just outside the top 10 in a tie for 11th at +5 heading into the third round. Hicks picked up a birdie on the final hole to record a second round of +6 and is positioned in a tie for 42nd at +12 overall.

Hannah Dunk (78-74—152) improved by four strokes from round one to climb ten spots up the leaderboard. Dunk tallied two birdies and 12 holes at par to finish +3 on the day and is now in a tie for 30th at +10 overall. Cora Larson (80-78—158) finished +7 in the second round to sit in a tie for 65th at +16.

NDSU (305-298—603) improved by seven shots from the previous round to finish +14 on the day. The Bison maintained their position of sixth place with a score of +35 through the first two rounds of the event.
