Rhoden Signs Public Safety Bills Into Law

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden is signing nearly a dozen public safety bills into law. They include House Bill 1084, which protects law enforcement officers, retired state judges, and federal judges by removing their personal information from the public statewide voter files. Another bill, HB 1007, amends the definition of law enforcement officer to include tribal law enforcement officer. All the bills can be found on the state’s website, SD.gov. Rhoden has signed 116 bills into law so far this legislative session.
