Agriculture Producers Monitor War Impact On Prices

(Bismarck, ND) — Farmers in North Dakota are starting to put down fertilizer but closely watching prices. Local Farmer Amanda Kopp says she doesn’t remember the last time prices didn’t increase but with the ongoing war in Iran, this time things are different. Kopp says that many farmers have already bought fertilizer but fuel costs are a major concern. She says many farmers have a tank and store large amounts of fuel but it’s still a concern for those who might have been expecting prices to remain steady. Kopp says some farmers are compensating with alternative crops that have lower input costs.
