(Rapid City, SD) — A Pennington County jury says Treon Middletent is guilty of sexual contact with a child under 16. The verdict was announced after a two-day trial. Middletent is believed to have committed the crimes from December 2020 to May 2022 with a child who knew him and was trusted in the child’s life. The victim was 10 years old when the abuse began. Middletent was convicted on three of the four counts and could be sentenced to 15 years in prison for each count.
