(Salem, SD) — The triple-murder trial for Centerville’s former Mayor Jay Ostrem is underway. Ostrem is accused of killing Paul Frankus, Zachary Frankus and Timothy Richmond in Centerville in 2024. The father of Paul and Zachary took the stand on Monday, as did the dispatcher who received a 911 call from Zachary on the night they were killed. The jury heard the call where Zachary stated his brother was shot by, “a dude across the street.” The trial is expected to last for two weeks through March 27th.
