Eastern North Dakota Alternate Water Supply Awarded $108M

(Bismarck, ND) — Senator John Hoeven says he helped secure 108-million dollars for the Eastern North Dakota Alternate Water Supply. ENDAWS is using the money to fund construction projects and repairs to the McClusky Canal and Snake Creek Pumping Plant. He said in an email to KX News that by using the canal, the project costs were reduced by 200-million dollars and operating costs are being cut by four-million per year. The funds are coming in part due to the One Big Beautiful Bill, Hoeven said. Upon completion, the project will help serve more than 30 communities and rural water systems.
