(Surrey, ND) — A feedlot near Surrey is facing accusations of improperly disposing deceased cattle. They are also being accused of operating without a permit. The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality told Ward County commissioners on Tuesday the feedlot will need to obtain approval to continue operating. The operators have been given 30 days to respond to a notice of violations. The location just north of Surrey is believed to house more than eight-thousand head of cattle.
