(Pierre, SD) — The Department of Health is reporting one new flu death, bringing the season total to 24. They are reporting just shy of 16-thousand infections this season with about 870 hospitalizations. The update on Thursday shows that there were 25 new hospitalizations and 721 new cases since the previous update. Officials say routine immunizations and washing your hands are the best ways to prevent the virus.
