(Rapid City, SD) — Evacuation orders for the Coyote Flats Fire have been lifted. Residents were told they could return to their properties around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The fire has burned about 384 acres in the Neck Yoke and Coyote Flats area. No homes were destroyed but three small outbuildings and a camper were burned. Residents are being told to use caution as the fire has not completely burned out and weather conditions remain ripe for new fires sparking.
