(Aberdeen, SD) — Charges against an Aberdeen daycare owner are being dropped. Krista Lynn Smith was arrested and charged with failure to make a required report as a mandatory reporter in December. Court documents show she is no longer facing those charges. One of her employees, Kourtney Anderson was arrested in January for a separate incident in March of 2025. Anderson pleaded guilty in that case and received a suspended imposition.
