(Sioux Falls, SD) — A man from Kyle, South Dakota is facing prison time for a federal assault conviction. Oliver Brown Bull was sentenced to five years in prison and three years of supervised release earlier this week. Brown Bull was convicted of pushing a man to the ground and punching him in the face several times during an incident in January of 2025. The victim suffered a broken eye socket and multiple broken bones in his nose. Brown Bull was found guilty of one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
