(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Department of Health is reporting a new death due to the flu. It brings the total number of flu deaths up to 25 this year. Additionally, there were 649 new cases reported and 15 new hospitalizations since the previous update. The Department of Health says the best way to prevent infection is to wash your hands and stay up to date with the latest vaccine.
