(Pennington County, SD) — Authorities say a ten-year-old is dead after an accidental gunshot wound on Sunday. Deputies were called to a home near Owanka on Sunday for reports that a child was shot. Despite efforts from EMS, the child died from the injuries. The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is calling it an “accidental family-related incident.” No charges have been filed but the shooting is still under investigation.
