State Prosecutors Targeting Fraud Cases

(Sully County, SD) — Prosecutors are ramping up pressure on those who commit fraud in South Dakota. In one such case in Sully County, there are allegations of a crop insurance fraud scheme worth one-point-three million dollars. U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons and Attorney General Marty Jackley appeared at the Sioux Falls Law Enforcement Center on Thursday, saying their teams are working together on the state-wide crackdown. Parsons says tracking down fraud is one of the priorities he was given by President Trump. Anyone who has information on a fraud case is being asked to contact the government’s fraud-net website.
