(Minot, ND) — Incumbent Representative Julie Fedorchak says she is focused on reaching larger audiences. Her comments come in Minot on Tuesday, just a couple days after she skipped state Republican Party Convention in the same city. Alex Balazs was nominated to challenge Fedorchak during the event and delegates also voted to strip Fedorchak and many other no-show candidates of the Republican brand on the ballot. Party Chair Matthew Simon said those who skipped the convention were really saying to voters that they want their vote, but not their voice. Fedorchak says she had the Tuesday event on her schedule well before the convention and wants to focus on the broader population rather than the few hundred people at the Republican event.
