Suspect Apprehended By K9 Unit After Sioux Falls Police Shooting

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A man is in custody after being shot at by police in Sioux Falls. Police say they went to arrest a man near West Russell Street and North Minnesota Avenue before he pulled out a hand gun. Police fired at the man but missed. While he was trying to flee on foot, he was injured by a police K9 and then taken into custody. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. and a large police presence was seen securing the area. Traffic was reopened around 5:30 p.m.
