(Sioux Falls, SD) — The South Dakota Department of Health is reporting two new deaths from the flu. The department also noted there were 23 new hospitalizations and 468 new total cases. It brings the season total to 27 deaths, 940 hospitalizations and more than 17-thousand cases. SDDOH says the virus usually passes after 48 hours with rest and liquids. They add that routine immunizations are the best way to prevent contraction of the virus.
