(Williston, ND) — Williston police are praising a new vehicle policy as a major morale booster. The new policy allows officers to take their vehicles home after their shift instead of cleaning it, parking it, and leaving it overnight at the station. Police Chief Steven Gutknecht tells KFYR that the move saves the department time and effort. He says the department is ready to add seven more vehicles that will be ready to go this fall. He says another eight vehicles will be added by the end of the year.
