Residents File Lawsuit Against JETx Transmission Line

(Bismarck, ND) — Residents are appealing to the Supreme Court for input regarding the JETx transmission line. A case has been submitted to the state Supreme Court despite a recent ruling that declared the high-voltage transmission line is a needed addition to the state’s electrical grid. Now, residents say they want input regarding the route of the line. Some homes along the 90-mile route from Jamestown to Ellendale will have 150-foot towers built near their farms, making it harder to aerial spray fields. The North Dakota Public Service Commission and developers Otter Tail Power and Montana-Dakota Utilities are all named as defendants in the lawsuit.
