Honor Flight Takes Over 100 Veterans To Washington DC

(Bismarck, ND) — More than 100 veterans are in Washington after the ninth-ever North Dakota Honor Flight. A team of volunteers joined the group of nearly 100 vets on the trip to the nation’s capital to see the memorials built in their honor. Western North Dakota Honor Flights President Patience Mosbruckers says the flights honor heroes who deserve recognition. Mosbruckers says the group has now sent more than one-thousand local veterans to Washington and has 400 others on its waiting list. The University of Mary football team was there at the airport to help load luggage, push wheelchairs, and get vets checked in.
