Pennington County Task Force Makes Dozens Of Arrests

(Rapid City, SD) — A newly formed parole task force has made dozens of arrests in its first two weeks. The multi-agency unit says it’s having success tracking down parole violators and others suspected of new crimes since it launched on April 15th. The group is highlighting the arrest of Deja Guthmiller who was linked to multiple incidents in April, including robbery, burglary, vandalism and fleeing. Officials say the task force will continue operations in Pennington County for the foreseeable future. The task force unites agencies like the Rapid City police, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, state investigators, parole services and the U.S. Marshals.
