(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Health and Human Services is warning that a phishing attack may have exposed personal and medical information belonging to people who receive Developmental Disabilities services. The breach began after three employees interacted with a suspicious email in July, giving an outside party access to their accounts. Information that may have been exposed includes names, contact details, birth dates, health plan information, medical records and guardian information. HHS says it is contacting affected people and urging them to watch for possible fraud or identity theft.
