(Diamond, SD) — The presence of zebra mussels has been confirmed in Traverse Lake. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources contacted South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks to inform them of the discovery. The lake is located on the border of South Dakota and Minnesota. SDGFP says the biggest threat from the species is it’s ability to attach to hard surfaces and each other, potentially causing clogging and corrosion.
