(Rapid City, SD) — An investigation is underway into card skimmers in Rapid City. Authorities say they are looking for two people they believe placed two card skimmers at the city’s Walmart stores over the weekend. RCPD Detective Nicholas Strampe says the devices were discovered on the 14th and found they were placed on the 9th. He added they are typically going to be at self-checkouts or at the gas station and warns the public to stay vigilant. The suspects still haven’t been located, but Rapid City police is asking anyone who may know anything or run across any future card skimmers to reach out.
