(Sioux Falls, SD) — Operation Hope and Caring is still buzzing into the summer. It’s a fundraising initiative to help Sioux Falls kids in need. While the school year might be over, the Levo Credit Union and Sioux Falls Storm are partnering throughout the summer to help raise more money for the Sioux Falls School District. People can apply for funding, large or small, from a committee formed by principals for a range of items from washers and dryers at the schools to socks. Operation Hope and Caring is also often used to supplement more than just material needs, such as any field trip fees that might be needed and also to help the kids buy lunch. The Sioux Falls Storm wore Star Wars jerseys last month that were auctioned to raise money. Operation Hope and Caring is accepting donations for anyone that can give on its website.
