(Vermillion, SD) — University of South Dakota football is beginning Missouri Valley Football Conference play on a high note. The fifth-ranked Coyotes completed a blowout win over Number 17 Southern Illinois, 42-13, at the Dakota Dome Saturday. USD will now go on the road for a showdown at Murray State next Saturday. South Dakota State had the weekend off, resetting for a short trip across state lines to take on Northern Iowa. The Coyotes and Jacks are both 3-1 with only a few more weeks to go until the highly anticipated collision between the programs on October 26th in Brookings.
