(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City teamed up with the Volunteers of America Mommy’s Closet to provide diapers and donations to families struggling financially. The drive brought in over 20-thousand diapers, three-thousand dollars in cash donations and 550-dollars raised by city employees. Heather Kendall, the Outreach Coordinator of the Volunteers of America Mommy’s Closet, says the drive can help families focus on other expenses and not have to worry. Rapid City Mayor Jason Salamun hopes the drive continues long after his tenure is over.
