Fentanyl Non-Fatal Overdoses Increase In Fargo-Moorhead Metro Area

(Fargo, ND) — Fargo officials are warning about the dangers of fentanyl use. Treatment centers and federal authorities say fentanyl use in the state is down, but non-fatal overdoses have jumped dramatically. The Drug Enforcement Administration encourages North Dakotans to be aware of the involved risks, as the drug is found more in counterfeit prescription medication and just two milligrams is enough for a fatal dose. Officials predict a decline in North Dakota overdose deaths as the drug’s nationwide usage trends downward.
