May Proclaimed “National Military Appreciation Month”

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden is proclaiming May as “National Military Appreciation Month.” He teamed up with the Department of Veterans Affairs to make the designation. Rhoden hopes South Dakotans will spend time this month “honoring, remembering, and recognizing” those who have served in the past and who are serving now. The month includes “Loyalty Day,” which is May 1st, “Military Spouse Appreciation Day” on May 9th, and “Armed Forces Day” on May 17th.
