(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Kelly Armstrong says he accidentally vetoed funding for housing and homelessness programs. Armstrong vetoed seven items in the batch of final bills from the 2025 legislative session. However, a line-item veto for what he thought was a 150-thousand-dollar grant to address homelessness in tribal communities also included 35-million-dollars for housing projects and homelessness assistance. Governor Armstrong cannot rescind a veto, which might require the state legislature to be called back for a special session. Armstrong said it was an honest mistake that will be fixed.
