Two Minot Police Officers Receive Medal of Honor

(Minot, ND) — Two Minot Police officers are receiving once-in-a-lifetime honors. Cullen Hall and Tyler Burtch received the North Dakota Medal of Honor after being cleared of a fatal officer-involved shooting last October. The state Chiefs of Police Association recognized the pair with the award, which honors officers who show exceptional courage in the line of duty. Burtch and Hall’s use of deadly force was justified by the McLean County prosecutor just a short time after the incident.
