(Minot, ND) — Ward County residents are being reminded about storm shelters as severe weather increases in North Dakota. This comes after several tornadoes were confirmed during last Friday’s severe weather. Officials say not knowing where shelters are and not being prepared can lead to serious consequences. The western and central regions of North Dakota have already experienced 28 tornado warnings this year. Ward County has 12 storm shelters available whenever a tornado watch is issued. A full list of locations can be found online on the Ward County website.
