(Bismarck, ND) — Officials are preparing for speed limit increases on North Dakota’s interstates. Interstates 29 and 94 will have speed limits increased to 80 miles per hour on August 1st. Starting next month, the Department of Transportation says it will spend several weeks replacing old speed limit signs. North Dakota Highway Patrol Lieutenant Jenna Huibregtse reminds drivers that the new speed limit is not to encourage speeding, but a maximum limit for drivers.
