(Mandaree, ND) — A downed power line has been ruled as the cause of last year’s historic wildfire near Mandaree. U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives officials say a tree fell onto a power line, which subsequently fell and lit the blaze on the weekend of October 5th. The Bear Den fire burned over 110-thousand acres, with estimated damages exceeding eight-million-dollars.
