State Prison Inmate Dies of Apparent Suicide

SPRINGFIELD, S.D.- An inmate at the state prison has died of an apparent suicide.

State prison offender Justin Copier has died of an apparent suicide according to a release from the South Dakota Department of Corrections on Monday. Copier was found unresponsive in his cell at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield on July 20th. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Copier, age 25, was serving a sentence for aggravated assault from Moody County.
