Dusty Johnson Unveils Bill To Speed Up Southern Border Security

(Washington, DC) — South Dakota’s U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson is pushing to speed up border wall improvements. He’s introduced the FASTER Act, a bill that would require future presidents to keep building and upgrading the southern border wall and related technology. Johnson says too many regulations slow things down, and his bill cuts that red tape. It also calls for the Department of Homeland Security to check the border every two years and report to Congress on any weak spots. If problems are found, the bill lets DHS skip environmental reviews to get repairs done faster.
