(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden has filled a vacant seat in the State House, appointing Nick Fosness to represent District 1. Fosness, who lives in Britton, steps in after Christopher Reder resigned in May. He brings over a decade of healthcare leadership and experience on the local school board. The governor calls him a “true South Dakotan” with strong community values, and Fosness says he’s honored and ready to serve.
