Applied Digital Announces $3B AI Data Center Development In Cass County

(Harwood, ND) — A multi-billion-dollar AI data center is coming to Cass County. Applied Digital announced yesterday that a three-billion-dollar development will help make North Dakota an epicenter for artificial intelligence expansion. Two main facilities will be constructed in Harwood on 900 acres of land and powered by Cass County Electrical Cooperative. Operations are expected to begin in 2026, with over 200 people employed at the location. Harwood officials scheduled a town hall for August 25th for officials and residents to share feedback about the project.
