(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley is joining officials nationwide to call for a ban on designer Xanax. A coalition of 21 attorneys general signed a letter sent to encourage the Drug Enforcement Administration to ban Bromazolam. The drug is known as designer Xanax because of its similar effects to Xanax. Wrigley and other attorneys general argue that Bromazolam is a silent killer linked to thousands of deaths across the country. Officials want the DEA to classify the drug as a Schedule One controlled substance to authorize emergency regulation nationwide.
