(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party is revoking its endorsement of State Senator Omar Fateh in the Minneapolis mayor’s race. Party leaders say an internal review found major flaws in last month’s Minneapolis DFL convention. The flaws reportedly included a candidate being wrongly eliminated from the ballot. Fateh scored an upset last month winning the party’s endorsement over incumbent Mayor Jacob Frey. Fateh, a democratic socialist, has drawn comparisons to Zohran Mamdani, the frontrunner in the New York City mayor’s race.
