(Sioux Falls, SD) — A convicted killer delays his sentencing in a high-profile Sioux Falls murder case. Nearly three years after Darrian Johnson shot and killed Kaisean Tyler, Johnson was set to learn his punishment Monday. But instead, he asked the judge for more time, claiming false charges and inaccurate statements were made against him. The judge, bound by law, granted a continuance, pushing sentencing to September 4th. Johnson was convicted in May of first- and second-degree murder for the 2022 shooting.
