(Rapid City, SD) — Pennington County authorities are investigating a homicide after a man was found shot and killed Tuesday afternoon. Deputies responded around 4 p.m. to the area of Victoria Lake Road and First Thunder Road, where 57-year-old Vernon Selig was pronounced dead. Investigators are now looking for his son, 30-year-old Nicholas Selig, the main person of interest. He may be near Highway 16 and Gondola Road and is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who may come into contact or knows of his whereabouts is urged to call the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office right away.
