As we close in on the end of August, disease pressure is raising its ugly head in both corn and soybeans, chipping away at yield potential. While temperatures are running on the cooler side, the forecast doesn’t show much in the way of rain for the final stretch of the growing season. In livestock, the cattle market is once again setting new contract highs, but the question remains — will consumers be able to keep up, or could we see signs of pullback ahead?
