(Bismarck, ND) — State Superintendent Kristen Baesler is encouraging high school juniors and seniors to apply for a national program. The 2026 U.S. Senate Youth Program selects students from all 50 states to learn more about how the federal government operates. Students will also receive a ten-thousand-dollar scholarship for college expenses and can attend the Washington Week event in March 2026. Applicants will be selected on their leadership qualities and ability to serve others in an elected or appointed student office. Applications are due by midnight on October 20th.
