(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Twenty-nine-year-old Darrian Johnson was sentenced to life in prison plus more than 100 years for murder and other charges on Thursday. Johnson is guilty of shooting and killing 26-year-old Kaisean Tyler in 2022. Prosecutors say the case shows violent crime will be met with harsh punishment. Johnson insists he is innocent, but the judge says he refuses to take accountability and poses a danger if ever released.
