(Bismarck, ND) — Nearly 100 arrests or citations were issued during the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign between mid-August and early September. The North Dakota Department of Transportation says 94 traffic stops were conducted and resulted in 54 DUI-related and eleven drug-related arrests. Authorities also mentioned that 21-percent of motor vehicle fatalities statewide had alcohol as a factor in 2024, which dropped by ten percent compared to 2023. Police emphasize that the safe driving campaigns not only take offenders off the roads but also encourage better driving habits. The recent campaign was held between August 16th and September 2nd.
