NDDOT Opens Application Window For SRF Program

(Bismarck, ND) — The Special Road Fund program is now open to applicants interested in financing North Dakota Highway projects. The state’s Department of Transportation says tribal governments, state agencies, and similar groups can apply for funding to improve roadways in recreational, tourist, and historical areas. Funding has increased to an 80-20 split this year, which means SRF would fund 80-percent of a project with a maximum cost of 500-thousand-dollars. Applications for projects planned for construction in 2026 or 2027 are due by November 30th. Details regarding the application process are available on the North Dakota DOT website.
