(Bismarck, ND) — A man is facing time behind bars after police say he took advantage of a teen girl and refused to let her leave. Police in Bismarck located the girl, who hadn’t been seen in three days, at a Bismarck motel room with a man, Hunter Popetsaitke. He said he met her through a social media app and claimed she was his girlfriend even though she’s not 18. The teen said she tried to leave the room but was held down by Popetsaitke’s friend, who took her phone. Popetsaitke is now being charged with nine felony counts, including gross sexual imposition, corruption of a minor, and felonious restraint, along with other crimes.
