(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Supreme Court is considering a lawsuit regarding the Dakota Access Pipeline. In a court appearance on Thursday, Energy Transfer asked the justices to stop a countersuit by Amsterdam-based Greenpeace. Greenpeace is being accused of conspiring to stop the pipeline from being built by using unlawful tactics. Three Greenpeace defendants deny the allegations and filed a counter suit in a Dutch court in February calling the accusations by Energy Transfer frivolous. The Dakota Access Pipeline has been carrying crude oil from wells in North Dakota since 2017.
