(Bismarck, ND) — Burleigh Morton County Detention Center will provide 120 beds to the North Dakota prison system. The Department of Corrections agreed to a deal at a rate of 105-dollars per day. Its ten dollars less per day than Burleigh Morton’s rate for other counties. It will help address overcrowding in the state prison system. The area has been used by the state before but had to be shutdown because of a lack of staffing.
